Shelem — Privacy Policy

Shelem (“the app”) is a score-keeping app for the card game Shelem. This policy explains what data the app handles and how. We designed Shelem to collect as little as possible.

Information the app stores

• Game data (player names you type, bids, and scores) is stored only on your device. It is never uploaded to us and we cannot see it. Deleting the app removes this data.
• We do not require an account, and we do not collect your name, email, contacts, location, or device identifiers.

Microphone & voice entry

• The microphone is used only while you are actively recording a score (after you tap the microphone button).
• When you use voice entry, the short audio clip is sent over an encrypted connection to our transcription service to convert your speech into a number. The service used is Groq, which processes the audio to return text.
• The audio is used only to produce the transcription for that single entry. It is not used to identify you, is not linked to any account, and is not stored by the app after the number is recognized.
• You can use the entire app without the microphone by typing scores manually.

Analytics & tracking

The app contains no third-party advertising and no tracking SDKs. We do not track you across apps or websites.

Children

Shelem is suitable for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
